Welcome to Third Grade!

Welcome to Third Grade! I hope all of you have enjoyed a relaxing, fun-filled summer! I am so excited to meet all of my new, wonderful students! I was filled with anticipation when looking over my class list and recognizing the names of all really great kids! I was also happy to see some new students/families joining us for what I know will be a fantastic year!

Your child’s third grade year will be filled with lasting memories, rich and fulfilling academic experiences, along with significant social development and growth. Students will learn to become more independent, responsible learners while making gains across multiple subject areas.

Each week I will be posting updates on what your child has been working on or will be learning in class along with ways in which you can help reinforce their learning at home. I am a full supporter of a strong home-school connection so please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at rferullo@blessedsacrament.org. I am hoping to work closely with all of you to achieve the most success for your child.

Within the first week of school I will be sending students home with “homework” for their parents, something they are always very excited about! It is a questionnaire about your child to help me gain a better sense of who they are as a person as well as a learner. There is also room for you to include any concerns you may have regarding the upcoming year. I am really looking forward to getting to know both you and your child!

On our first day together, September 3rd, please make sure your child comes prepared with his/her completed summer work as well as the requested school supplies. We ask that prior to the start of school you help your child arrange their pencil cases per described on the supply list you can find here.

Again, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Enjoy these last few precious days of summer!
